The Seattle Seahawks put together a complete effort in their 37-18 win over the San Francisco 49ers at CenturyLink Field on Sunday, but it might have come at a steep cost.
Quarterback Russell Wilson, already playing through a sprained right ankle, went down awkwardly when brought down with an illegal horse-collar tackle by Niners linebacker Eli Harold in the third quarter of Sunday's game. After briefly reentering the contest following one play off, he ceded to undrafted rookie Trevone Boykin, who finished out the blowout victory.
Wilson's second injury in three weeks obviously cast a pall over the Seahawks' best effort of the young season.
