We’re all done with Day 2 of the 2022 NFL Draft, and any questions about the Seattle Seahawks plans at quarterback were answered by what they didn’t do.
Pick 40 and 41 were not traded and instead used on Minnesota defensive end Boye Mafe and Michigan State star running back Kenneth Walker III. Even as Desmond Ridder, Matt Corral, and the other quarterbacks remained available at pick 72 in Round 3, the Seahawks continued their offensive line overhaul by taking Washington State right tackle Abe Lucas. He’s the first Wazzu player taken by Seattle since Marcus Trufant in 2003!
