Seattle Seahawks rookie defensive lineman Malik McDowell could miss the entire season after being involved in an ATV accident, according to head coach Pete Carroll.

Seattle selected McDowell in the second round (No. 35 overall) of the NFL Draft, the team's first pick in the draft. He was expected to compete for a starting job along the defensive line.
In nine games for Michigan State last season, the 6-foot-6, 295-pounder racked up 34 tackles, seven tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks.
