The Seattle Seahawks are set to sign former Kansas State quarterback Jake Waters, according to the Omaha World-Herald.
Waters will reunite with his favorite target at Kansas State, wide receiver Tyler Lockett. The Seahawks were in need of another QB after back-up Tarvaris Jackson injured his ankle in the preseason opener. B.J. Archer was the only other QB behind Russell Wilson on the roster.
Waters went undrafted, but signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars before being cut.
Lockett and Waters both get to return to Kansas this week, as Seattle's next preseason game is against the Chiefs in Arrowhead Stadium.
