Seattle Seahawks safety Kam Chancellor has yet to show up for training camp due to a contract holdout, and the team doesn't appear like it's ready to cave in and flesh out details of a new deal with the Legion of Boom star.
According to Mike Florio of NBC's Pro Football Talk, "per a source with knowledge of the situation, Chancellor was under the impression that, after he established himself as one of the top safeties in the game, his contract would be adjusted to reflect that. When Chancellor signed his current deal, he sacrificed some of the upside in exchange for a certain degree of security at a time when the Seahawks still had plenty of other core guys to sign."
With other core members of the team's secondary signed up long term, Chancellor expects to have his current deal altered to at least match up with fellow safety Earl Thomas who made $14 million last year.
Chancellor would have to play all of 2015, 2016, and part of 2017 to match that $14 million earned mark.
