Training camps around the NFL are getting closer to wrapping up. With roster cuts approaching, we're getting a glimpse at how rosters will look come Week 1 of the season. So, how are the Seattle Seahawks shaping up? Here are three things we learned from Seahawks training camp last week.
Secondary Is Getting Healthy
Kam Chancellor is still holding out and Earl Thomas is still hurt, but the Seahawks had a few secondary members return. Richard Sherman played in the Seahawks' third preseason game, as did Tharold Simon and Will Blackmon. All three could see playing time this season.
Tyler Lockett Is An Incredible Return Man
Lockett, a third round pick out of Kansas State, already looks like one of the best returners in the NFL. He's been electric on punts and kickoffs in the preseason. Even if he doesn't do much this year as a WR, Lockett should have a big impact on returns.
Kevin Pierre-Louis Is Pushing For Playing Time
Pierre-Louis was a fourth round pick a season ago, but was injured in mid-November and missed the rest of the season. He played well on special teams last year, but is pushing for a bigger role this season. Pete Carroll says Pierre-Louis could take away snaps from the starters during the regular season. The Seahawks are already strong at LB with Bobby Wagner, K.J. Wright and Bruce Irvin. Adding Pierre-Louis to the group seems almost unfair.
