The offseason has reached a crucial point for the Seattle Seahawks. Free agency starts on Thursday, March 9 at 4:00 pm ET (the start of the new league year), but Seattle is already taking advantage of the two-day free agency negotiating window that opened yesterday. During this time before free agency starts, teams may negotiate all aspects of the contract but can't finalize the deal. Here are the latest Seahawks news & rumors you need to know:
Seattle not interested in Adrian Peterson
Adrian Peterson's father revealed that the All-Pro was interested in signing the Seahawks and Raiders, but Seattle has yet to reciprocate that interest. According to Tom Pelissero of USA Today, the Seahawks currently do not want to sign Peterson.
#Seahawks have no immediate interest in Adrian Peterson, I'm told. History shows they'll revisit sometimes if a guy is sitting out there.

Seattle already has Thomas Rawls and C.J. Prosise as runnings backs on their roster, and both are still on their rookie contracts.
A knee injury limited Peterson to just three games in 2016, in which he rushed for just 72 yards on 37 carries. In 2015, he led the league with 1,485 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns.
Seahawks targeting D.J. Fluker
The Los Angeles Chargers released D.J. Fluker on Tuesday, and the Seahawks - who are desperately looking to upgrade their offensive line this offseason - are one of the teams trying to land him, according to ESPN's Josina Anderson.
Potential teams to watch in the OL D.J. Fluker market: #Saints #Lions #Seahawks #Colts #Vikings #Giants, #ARZ, #ATL based on a recent call.

The Chargers had picked up Fluker’s fifth-year option, which was worth $8.821 million for 2017, but that salary was not guaranteed. Fluker, who has started every game he has played in his four-year career, can play both tackle and guard. He is one of the top offensive linemen now available on the open market.
Kamar Aiken a target for the Seahawks
The Seahawks don't have a pressing need at the wide receiver position, but Bleacher Report's Jason Cole reports that Seattle is interested in former Ravens wideout Kamar Aiken.
Former #Ravens WR Kamar Aiken has roughly 6 teams interested in him. #Bills, #Browns and #Seahawks looking like strongest candidates for now
— Jason Cole (@JasonColeBR) March 6, 2017
Aiken caught 29 passes for 328 yards and one touchdown last season after losing his starting job to Mike Wallace. As a starter in 2015, Aiken caught 75 passes for 944 yards and five touchdowns.
