Kearse signed a three-year, $13.5 million deal in March 2016, but has fallen behind Doug Baldwin, Tyler Lockett and Paul Richardson on the depth chart, which had put him on the roster bubble.
Seattle also used a third-round pick on Amara Darboh and have been impressed with what they have seen from Kasen Williams in the preseason.

The Seahawks can save $2.2 million by getting rid of Kearse, whether it be via trade or release. He caught 41 passes for 511 yards and a touchdown last season.
