NFL Free Agency starts in March 9th, and the next few days will be full of NFL rumors. The Seattle Seahawks will be the subject of at least a few of those rumors, as there are a few talented free agents the Seahawks could lose this offseason. With that in mind, here are a few of the more interesting rumors and news tidbits on the Seahawks.
Kearse "Looking Forward" To Leaving?
WR Jermaine Kearse is set to be a free agent in a down year for wide receivers and it sounds like he won't be returning to Seattle.
Seahawks WR Jermaine Kearse reiterated Thursday that he does not plan to return to Seattle and is looking forward to finding a new home.

The loss of Kearse isn't a critical blow to the team, as they already have Doug Baldwin, Tyler Lockett and Paul Richardson under contract. Seattle could spend another draft pick on the position to help replace Kearse.
Bye, Bye Bruce Irvin?
Bruce Irvin is set to hit the open market as well, and the Seahawks could end up losing him too. Irvin is set to command a hefty salary as a pass rusher, and it could approach $10 million. That's likely out of the price range for Seattle and the Atlanta Journal Constitution reports two teams are the favorites to land Irvin. The Jacksonville Jaguars and the Atlanta Falcons are the two favorites, which makes sense given the teams needs for pass rushing help. The Jaguars are loaded with cap space and can match any offer they want for Irvin.
Mebane Wants To Stay?
DT Brandon Mebane has spent his entire career in Seattle, but is a free agent. He told ESPN 710 that he wants to finish his career in Seattle.
"I'd love to be back out there in Seattle, finish my career in Seattle," Mebane said. "I've been there nine years, so why not? ... This is all about what's the best fit, what's best for me and my family," Mebane said on Monday. "I think it'll all work out at the end. I'd love to go back to Seattle, but we just got to wait and see. It's just a waiting game now."
Mebane has been a key part of the Seahawks run defense. If they lose him, and/or fellow DT free agent Ahtyba Rubin, their defensive line will become dangerously thin.
