The Seattle Seahawks have traded for offensive line help. Seattle netted OT Matt Tobin from the Philadelphia Eagles Monday.
Eagles acquire Seattle's 2018 fifth-round pick in exchange for T Matt Tobin and a 2018 seventh-round pick.

This is the second trade of an offensive lineman the Eagles have made this offseason, previously dealing Allen Barbre to the Denver Broncos.
The 5th round pick the Eagles are netting should be a late one. Tobin was on the roster bubble and their trade indicates the team feels comfortable entering the year with Dillon Gordon as the backup left tackle (he was ahead of Tobin on the depth chart). Halapoulivaati Vaitai is the backup right tackle and the likely swing tackle.

Seattle needed offensive line help after starting LT George Fant tore his ACL this weekend. Tobin has played at tackle and guard, even starting 13 games in 2015. He gives Seattle another lineman who can play multiple spots. With Fant out, Tobin has a chance to earn a job on the Seahawks roster. It could even be a starting one, given the Seahawks' major problems up front.
