Seattle Seahawks safety Kam Chancellor has ended his holdout and will return to the team immediately.
The story was first reported by ESPN's Stephen A. Smith, who received this text from Chancellor:
“Ima go help my teammates that are understanding of my position and the ones who aren’t. God forgives all, why can’t i? Time to help us get back to the big dance . I can address business after the season. Me and Marshawn started a mission 2 years ago. I can’t let my Dawg down….Real talk.”
Chancellor had wanted to rearrange the money distribution on the three years he had remaining on his contract, hoping to move $4 million from the back-end to the front-end of the contract.
Seattle struggled without Chancellor, starting the season 0-2 with losses to the St. Louis Rams and Green Bay Packers.
