The Seattle Seahawks have a good deal of cap space, and they're looking to use it to bring in a top pass-catcher for quarterback Russell Wilson.
Seattle has their sights set on WR Andre Johnson, who was cut by the Houston Texans earlier today. Johnson, 33, had 85 catches for 936 yards and three touchdowns last season despite dealing with poor quarterback play, but was released after he expressed his unhappiness with Houston wanting him to take a reduced role.
Johnson is drawing interest from numerous teams around the league, but he has said he wants to go to a team that has a good quarterback and is a title contender, putting the Seahawks near the top of his list.
As for TE Julius Thomas, the Jacksonville Jaguars are the favorites to land him, but the Seahawks are still in play, according to Yahoo's Charles Robinson. Thomas has made the Pro Bowl in each of the past two seasons.
