In Seahawks rumors today, the Seattle Seahawks are hosting former Washington State safety Deone Buccannon on Monday and Tuesday -- prompting speculation that the Seahawks may be targeting the All-American in May's NFL Draft.
Per Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post, "Bucannon has a reputation as a hard-hitting tackler and is regarded as a rising draft prospect. He has over 10 official visits scheduled and has conducted three private workouts, including with the Philadelphia Eagles."
According to Wilson's piece, Bucannon ran the 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine in 4.49 seconds, along with bench pressing 225 pounds 19 times.
Buccannon was also a finalist for the Jim Thorpe Award last season, and was a second-team selection to the All-Pac-12 team.
Training at Disney Wide World of Sports with speed trainer Tom Shaw and former Oakland Raiders and Baltimore Ravens cornerback Fabian Washington, Buccannon put on a show at the Combine which has the Seahawks along with several other teams keeping a close eye on the former Cougar.
