In tonight's edition of Seahawks rumors, the Seattle Seahawks are continuing talks with superstar cornerback Richard Sherman -- perhaps to no avail at the present moment.
According to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, "per a league source, talks between the Seahawks and the start cornerback continue. But there’s currently no deal."
"Several reports have suggested that an agreement could be reached before the draft begins on Thursday," writes Florio in a post published on Saturday afternoon. "According to the source, it’s still realistic that the deal will be finalized this week, but that based on the parties’ current positions it won’t be easy."
With burgeoning superstar safety Earl Thomas signing a blockbuster extension with the team recently, Sherman is most likely looking for a deal with both similar financials and long-term security. However, the two parties remain relatively far apart and it will require compromise on both ends in order for a deal to be finalized within the next week.
