We don’t need to re-hash how the 2014 season ended, but let’s just say the Seattle Seahawks are very close to where they need to be to win another Super Bowl. Pete Carroll has built this team on the back of several very successful draft picks and getting the most out of his players, so who will be the guys who make unexpected contributions to Seattle this season?
DL Cassius Marsh
Marsh's versatility and motor allow him to play every position on the defensive line, but he made the biggest impact rushing the passer during his rookie season. He ended the season on IR with a broken foot, but now that he's fully healed, he's poised to translate his practice field dominance into game success.
WR Cliff Matthews
Matthews burst onto the scene with over 100 receiving yards in the first half of the Super Bowl, and he should start to see some playing time in 2015. At 6'5", he has the size and athleticism to be a playmaker on the outside, but needs to improve on his route running and blocking to earn consistent minutes.
RB Christine Michael
Michael hasn't been able to break through and earn consistent playing time in Seattle, but he has the physical gifts to overtake Robert Turbin as Marshawn Lynch's backup and make plays on third down. If he can do that, the Seahawks will have their long-term answer at the position.
