The Seattle Seahawks waived defensive tackle Travian Robertson on Friday per a club announcement, opening up a roster spot heading into the regular season's final week.
Per Mike Wilkening of NBC's Pro Football Talk, "the Seahawks didn’t announce a corresponding move, leaving them one player under the limit."
A third-year pro from the University of South Carolina, Robertson appeared in just one game for the Seattle Seahawks after he joined the team back on November 18th. The 26-year-old Robertson also suited up in 12 games as a reserve for the Atlanta Falcons in 2012 and 2013.
Seattle can clinch home field advantage throughout the NFC bracket of the playoffs with a win over the St. Louis Rams on Sunday, and head coach Pete Carroll and the front office will likely scour both the practice squad and free agency for the right fit to complete the roster before Sunday's tilt.
