The Seattle Seahawks could have the first crack at Detroit Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh in free agency, provided he gets that far and provided that the Seahawks have the cap space to make a deal work.
Per Bleacher Report's Insider Buzz, the Seahawks are Suh's first choice if and when he leaves the Lions in free agency. While that may be good news in one respect, the Seahawks have plenty of young talents left to reward with extensions, including starting quarterback Russell Wilson.
Suh, who recorded 8 1/2 sacks and 53 tackles in 2014, will likely land a mega-contract if he's not franchise tagged by the Lions for an eye-popping $27 million-plus before the new league year starts on March 10th.
With the financial numbers that Suh will command from a litany of teams who are expected to have interest in him, it would take some majorly creative financing for the Seahawks to even be in the conversation for his services.
