A significant portion of the Seattle Seahawks' future plans revolve around starting quarterback Russell Wilson, but it's possible they may have to share him with Major League Baseball somewhere down the road.
"You never want to kill the dream of playing two sports," Wilson said in a recent interview with Bryant Gumbel of HBO's Real Sports, via CBS Sports. "I would honestly play two sports."
Wilson was selected out of high school by the Baltimore Orioles in 2007, before opting to attend NC State instead. He was later selected by the Texas Rangers in the Rule 5 Draft back in December 2013, and he's made cameos at the team's spring training facility the past two years.
When Gumbel asked him what exactly is stopping him from trying to be a two-sport superstar, Wilson didn't really have a concrete answer.
"I don't know," he replied. "I may push the envelope a little bit one of these days."
