The Seattle Seahawks still haven't come to an accord with running back Marshawn Lynch on a new contract, despite a Saturday report that claimed otherwise.
Per Mike Florio of NBC's Pro Football Talk, "agent Doug Hendrickson has said on Twitter, and he has separately told PFT, that no agreement is in place. Hendrickson acknowledge that the two sides are negotiating."
Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports was the one to report that the two sides had come to an agreement, but changed his tune to say that the Seahawks have an offer currently on the negotiating table that "will result in a deal."
Despite La Canfora's assertions to the contrary, there's no such thing as a sure thing with Marshawn Lynch. He may very well sign the reported deal, or could decide to retire to save himself from further wear and tear.
Whatever he chooses, we won't know for sure until he either officially signs or rejects the Seahawks' current offer.
Stay tuned.
