Seattle Seahawks defensive coordinator Dan Quinn is one of the hottest names out there for teams looking for a new head coach, but his hopes of a package deal alongside Minnesota Vikings assistant GM George Paton may throw a monkey wrench in his future job plans.
Per Mike Florio of NBC's Pro Football Talk, "according to a league source, Quinn had a strong interest in working with Vikings assistant G.M. George Paton. But Paton decided not to interview for the two current G.M. positions, with the Jets and the Bears. Instead, Paton will remain in Minnesota."
Quinn has yet to receive a formal offer, but has been or will be interviewed by the New York Jets, Buffalo Bills, Atlanta Falcons, San Francisco 49ers, and Chicago Bears.
Quinn's career fate will likely rest on whether teams are willing to wait as long for as long as the Seattle Seahawks are in the playoffs - a potential stretch that could leave teams without an answer until February.
