Report: Seahawks RB Marshawn Lynch to hold out, miss training camp?

Seattle Seahawks star running back Marshawn Lynch showed up for mandatory minicamp despite major concerns about a contract hold out. However, training camp is a different story.

According to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, "former teammate Michael Robinson, who’s currently working for NFL Network, said on the air moments ago that Lynch said he’ll hold out."

If Lynch indeed holds out, he will be subject to a $30,000 fine for each day of camp missed. If he holds out for more than five days, he risks losing a portion of his $6 million signing bonus.

Back in 2012, Lynch signed a four-year, $30 million contract with the team. He is currently slated to make $5.5 million in 2014, with his cap hit coming in at $7 million.

It may be no coincidence that this move comes one day after Kansas City Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles' threatened holdout led to a bump in his 2014 salary from $3.9 million to $8.3 million (along with a two-year extension that keeps him under contract at four years and $28 million).

No official comment has been made by either Lynch or the Seahawks as of this writing.
