The 2017 NFL schedule was released last month, and the Seattle Seahawks have a tough road ahead of them in their quest to make it back to the playoffs. These are the five hardest games standing between the Seahawks and another return to the postseason.
5. at Los Angeles Rams (Week 5)
The Rams aren't a great team, but they always seem to give the Seahawks trouble. The Rams have won four of the last six meetings, with Seattle's last road win coming in 2013. So although the Seahawks should win this game, it won't be easy given recent history. Plus, Seattle really struggled on the road last year.
4. at Arizona Cardinals (Week 10)
The Cardinals might not be the best time this year, but they're a tough out. The road element doesn't make this game any easier and neither does playing on a short week. A Thursday night road game is an easy pick for a top five hardest game.
3. vs. Atlanta Falcons (Week 11)
The nice part about this game (and the reason it doesn't rank higher) is that the Seahawks are getting some extra prep time. They go from a Thursday night road game to a Monday night home game. The Falcons and Seahawks had two great games last year, but at home and with extra prep time, the edge is in favor of Seattle. Still, this won't be easy.
2. at Green Bay Packers (Week 1)
There aren't many tougher opening games this year than this one. Green Bay isn't easy to beat at home, especially for a Seahawks team that struggled on the road last year. It will be a tough test for the new-look Seattle offensive line as well.
1. at Dallas Cowboys (Week 16)
A late season road game against the Cowboys could very well have home field advantage implications for the postseason. The Cowboys defense has several new pieces, but at this point in the year, they might have meshed as a unit. This is easily the toughest game for Seattle, provided Dallas still looks like the team it was last year.
