The Seattle Seahawks finished 9-7 this past season and have holes that need to be filled for a playoff push in 2018. Seattle's defense has been its strength for many years, but after a few injuries this past season they may need to look to replace some big-name players in the draft. The Seahawks have only $14.8 million in cap space entering 2018, plus they have only one pick in the first three rounds of the 2018 NFL Draft. This means they need to draft a solid player in round one who can contribute right away because they won't be able to go out and sign a lot of difference makers in free agency. Here are the four players the Seahawks should target with the 18th pick in the first round of the draft.

4.) Joshua Jackson, CB, Iowa Hawkeyes
The Seattle defense suffered a bunch of injuries this season and one of the biggest was when cornerback Richard Sherman ruptured his Achilles in Week 10. After the Sherman injury, the Seahawks allowed seven touchdowns to the wide receiver position. With the future of Sherman in question, look the Seahawks to target Joshua Jackson. He emerged as a ball hawk for a quality Iowa defense this season, recording seven interceptions this season - including three against Ohio State. He has good size at 6-foot-1 and 195 pounds, giving him the physical stature NFL teams, especially Seattle looks for.
3.) Derwin James, S, Florida State
Kam Chancellor suffered a major injury to his neck at the end of November and may not be the same player going forward. This means the Seattle defense will need to reload on defense and that may mean targeting a safety like Derwin James in round one. James would be a great pick because of the versatility he possesses.

2.) Orlando Brown, OT, Oklahoma
Adding Orlando Brown not only protects Wilson, but it will allow the Seahawks to run the ball effectively. The Seahawks need to take some of the pressure of Wilson's shoulders and having a running game starts with the big guys in the trenches blocking. Seattle had four rushing touchdowns last season and Wilson had three of them. Brown is a big boy standing 6-foot-8 and weighing 360-pounds who is an excellent run blocker. If he proves he can handle speed at the NFL combine, he may not make it to the Seahawks.
1.) Mike McGlinchey, OT, Notre Dame
The addition of offensive tackle Duane Brown was great for the Seahawks last year, but the team still desperately needs offensive tackles. Seattle had one of the worst offensive lines in the NFL allowing 43 sacks on quarterback Russell Wilson in 2017. McGlinchey is regarded as the best offensive lineman in the 2018 class and if he slips to the Seahawks they should draft him. McGlinchey was named a Walter Camp First-Team All-American.
