The Seattle Seahawks have won three of their last four games to move to 5-5 on the season, and they're looking to give a big boost to their playoff hopes with a win over the Steelers on Sunday. Here are three reasons why they're guaranteed to do just that:
3) Home-field advantage
Playing in CenturyLink Field was once an automatic win for the Seahawks, but they've lost two of their last three games at home - and the Seahawks are NOT happy about it. It's still one of the toughest places to play, and Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger hasn't played in that environment in his career. Expect him and Pittsburgh's offense to have some problems dealing with the noise, causing them to be out of sync.
2) Backs against the wall
Seattle is 5-5 and on the brink of a major 2015 season meltdown. Beating the Steelers is essential towards righting the ship and keeping this Seahawks team afloat in the NFC Playoff chase. There's no way this Steelers team can match the desperate aggression the Seahawks will employ to win the biggest game of their season so far.
1) It's time to flip the switch
Seattle has shown over the course of the past several seasons that they have a switch they can flip when they absolutely need to, and now is the time for them to do just that. The Seahawks were 6-4 last year before going on a eight-game win streak, and were 6-5 in 2012 before winning the rest of their games in the regular season. Expect this game to be the start of another long win streak for Seattle.
