The Seattle Seahawks have another big road game on Sunday, traveling to Lambeau Field to take on the Green Bay Packers. Green Bay comes into this game on a two-game winning streak, but Seattle is going to end that on Sunday. Here are three reasons why they're guaranteed to win:
3) Green Bay's lackluster defense
This group has largely been killed by injuries, but they have been one of the league's worst units this year. They rank 23rd in the league in points allowed per game and have been shredded multiple times this season, giving up at least 30 points in five of their last eight games. With Seattle's offense playing well (scored 30 or more points in three of their last five games), they should have continued success in Green Bay.
2) Seattle's red-hot defense
You might bet on Aaron Rodgers to keep up with Seattle's offense, but the Seahawks defense will keep Green Bay's offense in check. Yes, losing Earl Thomas for the rest of the season will hurt them, but the Packers' receivers haven't been great at creating separation all season long. With Michael Bennett back, Seattle should be able to get after the quarterback.
The Seahawks are also the top defense in the league for a reason (16.2 points allowed per game) - they'll be able to dominate this game.
1) Russell Wilson in big games
Russell Wilson's athleticism and on-field decision making are fantastic enough. However, it's his unflappable confidence and beyond-his-years veteran presence which puts this team over the top. He's at his best when his best his needed, especially late in the season. Wilson has led 20 fourth-quarter comebacks in his career, so if this game is close at the end, you know who is going to win it.
