The Seattle Seahawks and San Francisco 49ers face off on Thursday Night Football in a game between two teams (and fanbases) that do not like each other. The Seahawks and 49ers are both 2-4, but Seattle is clearly the more talented team. Here are three reasons why the Seahawks are GUARANTEED to beat the 49ers.
3. Superior Rushing Attack
Marshawn Lynch is back and healthy, even if he didn't have the greatest game against the Panthers. However, the 49ers' run defense isn't as stout as Carolina's and Lynch could be in for a big day. Russell Wilson is just as capable a scrambler as Colin Kaepernick is, so the 49ers don't have an advantage there. Carlos Hyde is battling a foot injury, and the 49ers don't have the depth at RB as the Seahawks do. The Seahawks will have the better ground game in the matchup, allowing them to control the clock en route to a win.
2. Better QB
There are few (if any) fans that believe Kaepernick is better than Wilson. Despite a shoddy offensive line, Wilson has managed to make play after play this season. Kaepernick has struggled mightily at times this season and that could very well be the case against the Legion Of Boom. With Wilson at QB, Seattle won't lose this game.
1. Seahawks Are Due For A Good Fourth Quarter
Consider this simple regression to the mean. The Seahawks held leads in the fourth quarter in all four of their losses this season. Had Seattle closed out those games, everyone would have a completely different view of the team. At a certain point, the Seahawks will stop losing games late and the matchup against the 49ers is a great chance to turn things around. The Seahawks, behind Wilson and Lynch, will find themselves with another fourth quarter lead. This time, Seattle won't come up short.
