We don’t need to re-hash how the 2014 season ended, but let’s just say the Seattle Seahawks are very close to where they need to be to win another Super Bowl. Pete Carroll has built this team on the back of several very successful draft picks, and they may make a splash on draft day via a trade to get a player they like. While we’re not necessarily expecting any of these trades to happen, we wouldn’t be surprise. Here are 3 draft day trades the Seahawks could make when the 2015 NFL Draft rolls around:
1) Trade a multitude of picks to Rams for first-round pick (#10)
Seattle's biggest weakness last year was their offensive line, and it's only gotten worse since they traded starting center Max Unger to the Saints. There's a strong possibility that the Seahawks would give up a number of picks to St. Louis to move into the top 10 to draft Iowa's Brandon Scherff, perhaps the best and most versatile lineman in the class.
2) Trade 2nd-round pick (#63) and 4th-round pick (#130) to Panthers for 1st-round pick (#25)
Seattle traded away their first-round pick to the New Orleans Saints as part of the trade for Jimmy Graham, and since they don't have many needs, it makes sense to trade back into the first round. This would give them the opportunity to draft a top-notch cornerback - Wake Forest's Kevin Johnson or Florida State's P.J. Williams - to try and replace Byron Maxwell.
3) Trade two 4th-round picks to Chargers for 2nd-round pick (#48)
The Seahawks have three fourth-round picks, so look for them to try and package two of them to move up in the draft. The second round is as high as they'll get, but getting the opportunity to add a better prospect to an already loaded roster would be worth it.
