TACOMA — Williams Perez, just up from Class AA, made a successful debut for the Tacoma Rainiers on the mound but didn’t get much help from his new teammates as Las Vegas scored a 3-2 victory in Pacific Coast League baseball Tuesday.
Perez allowed just four hits and no runs in his six innings, and left with a 1-0 lead. Las Vegas (34-44) scored three runs in the top of the eighth with a double by Patrick Kivlehan the big blow.
David Freitas had two hits for Tacoma (41-37).
At Spokane 7, Everett 5
The Indians (5-7) scored four runs in the bottom of the eighth for the Northwest League victory over the AquaSox (7-5).
