The Texas Rangers agreed to terms on a $3.1 million contract with right-hander Tom Wilhelmsen to avoid salary arbitration.
Texas acquired Wilhelmsen from the Mariners in a trade Nov. 16. He was 2-2 with 13 saves and a 3.19 earned-run average in 53 appearances last season in Seattle.
