Tim Lopes gets his number called, Dee Gordon to 10-day IL

We’ve got roster moves, folks!

#Mariners select INF Tim Lopes from AAA Tacoma. INF Dee Gordon has been placed on the 10-day IL (strained left quad).

RHP Parker Markel has been designated for assignment. Seattle’s 40-man roster remains at 40.

Another unfortunate and disappointing injury for Dee Gordon means that it’s time for Tim Lopes to make his Major League debut. Lopes will be the 6th player from the Mariners 2012 draft class to make the majors, although it appears it won’t be tonight as the team as already slotted Austin Nola at second base.
