Efren Navarro and Shawn O’Malley each drove in two runs to help the Tacoma Rainiers to a 6-3 victory over the visiting El Paso Chihuahuas on Monday night at Cheney Stadium.
The Rainiers took a 3-1 lead with three runs in the third, including RBI singles by Mike Zunino and O’Malley and a bases-loaded walk.
O’Malley’s RBI single in the fifth put the Rainiers ahead 4-1.
El Paso got to 4-3 on Carlos Asuaje’s home run.
Navarro’s two-run single in the bottom of the eighth gave the Rainiers a 6-3 lead.
Donn Roach got the win, allowing two runs on six hits in 52/3 innings.
