Tacoma’s two four-run innings were enough to clinch a 12-7 victory at Salt Lake on Thursday.
The Rainiers (37-29) got 16 hits, including three apiece from Boog Powell, Mike Zunino and Mike Baxter. Zunino and Baxter each drove in two runs and scored three runs.
Daniel Robertson also homered and drove in two runs.
Tacoma starting pitcher Brad Mills (3-1) worked five innings and allowed three runs on seven hits to collect his third win.
Salt Lake’s Ryan Jackson drove in three runs.
