With baseball about to get started at T-Mobile Park, the Seattle Mariners Bloodworks Northwest Pop-Up Donor Center has wrapped up its incredibly successful run.
It was supposed to last a few weeks, but as the delay to the start of the season wore on, it just kept going. In the end, the location was in operation for nearly three months.
Mariners Chairman John Stanton was on hand to donate on the final day, saying that he was proud T-Mobile Park could serve such a useful purpose.
“It’s been great for us, for the last three months, to be able to use our ballpark for a great purpose for people to donate blood when we couldn’t use the ballpark to play baseball,” said Stanton.
