POMPANO BEACH, Fla. (WPEC) - Investigators had no trouble catching up to a man accused of stealing a $60,000 BMW.
The suspect, according to the Martin County Sheriff's Office, ran out of gas during his getaway.
The investigation began last Thursday when authorities said 36-year-old Nicholas Jackson tried to buy the BMW from a dealership in Pompano Beach with a food stamp card and debit card.
The managers at the auto dealership declined the transaction.
The next day, employees noticed the BMW missing from the lot, along with the keys to 60 other cars.
