Shawn O’Malley was back in the Mariners’ clubhouse Wednesday morning.
But when he’ll be back on the field is still uncertain after the 29-year-old utility player had appendectomy surgery Tuesday.
O’Malley said trainers have not told him when he will be able to return though a recovery of two or three weeks is likely.
“ That’s first thing I asked is — how long will I be out,’’ he said Wednesday. “I hate not being out there.’’
