Seattle Mariners with 5 prospects in Baseball America's Top 100 list

While the Mariners are bound for yet another disappointing season in 2020, their farm system is loaded. It’s recognized nationally.

The team’s ‘step-back’ approach is working in that regard.

Baseball America released earlier this week its top 100 list for 2020 prospects. Seattle has five players in there: Outfielders Julio Rodriguez (No. 8) and Jarred Kelenic (No. 11), and first baseman Evan White (No. 54), right-handed pitcher Logan Gilbert (No. 59) and shortstop Noelvi Marte. Only four organizations have more prospects ranked in the top 100 than the Mariners, and it’s the first time the club has had five players on the list since 2013.
