The Mariners on Monday claimed outfielder Jose Siri off waivers from the Reds, the team announced. Relief pitcher Matt Festa was designated for assignment in a corresponding move, keeping Seattle’s 40-man roster full.
The Athletic-Cincinnati first reported earlier Monday that the Mariners were claiming Siri.

Siri, 24, hit .237 with 56 runs, 19 doubles, 11 home runs, 53 RBIs and 26 stolen bases in the Reds' system last season. He split time between Triple-A Louisville (30 games) and Double-A Chattanooga (101 games) in 2019.
