Seattle Mariners' Charlie Furbush probably won't be ready for regular season

Facing the reality the regular season opens in two weeks, manager Scott Servais admitted Sunday that reliever Charlie Furbush probably won't be ready when Seattle begins the 2016 campaign April 4 in Texas.

Furbush has yet to pitch in a Cactus League game this spring as he works his way back from biceps tendinitis and a partially torn rotator cuff that landed him on the disabled list last July.

"I'm trying to be as optimistic as I can," Servais told reporters Sunday. "But you guys can look at the calendar. I think there's a better chance that (Furbush) is probably going to be late to start the season with us.
