MINNEAPOLIS -- In the literal version of a "frozen rope," Kyle Seager ripped a two-run home run off young Twins standout Jose Berrios in the fourth inning against the Twins to heat things up for the Mariners on a frigid Saturday afternoon at Target Field.
Playing in the coldest game recorded in either Twins or Mariners history, Seager hit a line drive off the right-field foul pole to give Seattle a 3-0 lead. The three runs were the first scored against Berrios in 13 innings, after he shut out the Orioles in a three-hit season debut.
