Mariners manager Scott Servais met with the media Sunday morning ahead of Seattle’s series finale against the Minnesota Twins.
Seattle recalled right-hander David McKay from Tacoma on Sunday and designated for assignment right-handed pitcher Mike Wright to make room on the 25-man roster. Servais spoke about how McKay is inexperienced but showed promise in Spring Training.
Though the Mariners lost to the Twins 18–4 Saturday night, Servais added that he was happy with the way his offense responded to chase José Berríos out of the game during the 5th inning before he was able to qualify for a victory.
