Scott Servais was all smiles beforehand as he talked about the first game in Seattle as the Mariners’ manager.
“Oh yeah, no doubt,” he said. “I’m really, really excited to get out there and get after it. I thought we played really well in Texas, but it’s different when you come home and the house is full and the fans are behind you. Our players are looking forward to it, as am I as well.”
He will have plenty of family in the stand for the series.
“My parents flew in, all three of my kids and my wife, of course,” he said.
