Salt Lake scored two runs in the top of the 11th inning for a 10-8 victory over the Tacoma Rainiers on Thursday night at Cheney Stadium.
Tacoma had the bases loaded in the 10th with no outs, but could not win it after a force-out and two strikeouts.
In the 11th, Salt Lake’s Jose Miguel Fernandez scored on Francisco Arcia’s bunt and former Mariner Dustin Ackley doubled in the final run.
Mike Marjama hit a two-run homer for the Rainiers. Dan Vogelbach and Jayson Werth each drove in three runs.
Fernandez also hit a three-run homer off Rainiers starter Christian Bergman, who allowed seven runs, five earned, on seven hits in 62/3 innings.
