The Mariners roster shuffle continued on Wednesday.
The team made a series of minor rosters, claiming infielder Andy Wilkins off waivers from the Baltimore Orioles. To make room for Wilkins, the organization designated left-handed pitcher Edgar Olmos for assignment. The Mariners also announced that catcher John Hicks, who was recently designated for assignment, was claimed off waivers by the Minnesota Twins.
Wilkins, 27, never actually played for the Orioles. He was a waiver claim from the Dodgers earlier in the offseason.
He played for two different organizations in 2015, spending his time at Class AAA for Oklahoma City and Buffalo.
