The Mariners made a roster move this afternoon adding infielder Chris Taylor to the 25-man roster. Utility infielder/outfielder Willie Bloomquist has been designated for assignment to open the roster spot.
Taylor, 24, will wear #1 and will be active for tonight’s series opener vs. the Oakland Athletics at O.co Coliseum (7:07 pm).
This will be Taylor’s second stint with the Mariners this season, batting .159 (10×63) in 20 games from May 4-June 1. In 48 games with AAA Tacoma he hit .289 (56×194) with 9 doubles, 4 triples, 2 home runs, 16 RBI and was 13-for-17 stealing bases.
