ANAHEIM--A scary moment in the Mariners 4-1 loss to the Angels as Robinson Cano was hit in the head by an errant throw in between innings. The initial report from the Mariners clubhouse is he left the game with dizziness and was undergoing MLB concussion protocol in the clubhouse.
The incident happened right before the start of the 7th inning. Cano was sitting at the rail in on the far end of the Mariners dugout when the throw sailed over Angels first baseman Albert Pujols and hit Cano in the forehead. Trainers and manager Lloyd McClendon immediately rushed to Cano who remained upright but looked unsteady.
