TACOMA — With Rob Brantly’s two-out, two-run walkoff double, the Tacoma Rainiers scored a comeback victory over Reno with four runs in the bottom of the ninth for an 8-7 triumph Sunday in PCL baseball.
The ninth started with two walks and a single by Norichika Aoki to load the bases. Mike Freeman followed with a run-scoring single and Stefen Romero hit a sacrifice fly to drive in another run, but it left the Rainiers (80-62) with two outs. That didn’t worry Brantly who doubled to beat the Aces (76-67).
Freeman finished with four hits, including a two-run homer in the third.
