PEORIA, Ariz. — Seattle Mariners Executive Vice President & General Manager of Baseball Operations Jerry Dipoto announced today from the Mariners Spring Training camp that right-handed pitcher Matt Festa has been outrighted to Triple-A Tacoma. He was also issued an invitation to Major League Spring Training.
Seattle’s Major League, 40-man, roster remains full at 40 players. The club has also invited 22 non-roster players to Major League Spring Training.
Festa, who was designated for assignment on February 3, made 20 appearances with the Mariners in 2019 after being named to his first Opening Day roster, going 0–2 with a 5.
