RENO, Nev. — The Reno Aces scored two runs in the bottom of the ninth inning to defeat the Tacoma Rainiers 4-3 on Thursday night.
In the top of the ninth, Andrew Aplin singled home Boog Powell to give Tacoma a 3-2 lead.
In the bottom of the ninth, Ketel Marte hit a run-scoring double off Jean Machi and later scored on an error by center fielder Leonys Martin.
Martin and Powell homered for Tacoma (37-34). Tyler Cloyd pitched the first four innings, allowing one run and three hits.
