Rainiers rally in eighth inning to beat Cubs

Zach Vincej drove in the tiebreaking run in the eighth inning as the Tacoma Rainiers beat the Iowa Cubs 5-4 Saturday in a Pacific Coast League game at Cheney Stadium.

Tacoma (35-34) trailed 4-2 going into the eighth but quickly loaded the bases and got two runs on a passed ball and a wild pitch, setting the stage for Vincej.

Chris Herrmann doubled home a run for the Rainiers in the first inning. In the fifth, Vincej doubled and eventually scored on a passed ball.

Christian Bergman started for Tacoma and went six innings, allowing six hits and three runs.
