Andrew Aplin, Jon Kemmer and Jack Mayfield each drove in two runs and figured prominently in Fresno’s five-run second inning as the Grizzlies went on to an 8-4 victory over the visiting Rainiers on Sunday.
Fresno (37-38) built a 6-0 advantage behind a five-run second inning in which Aplin, Kemmer and Mayfield each drove in a run.
Mike Zunino went 2 for 4 and drove in two runs with a single in the seventh inning for the Rainiers (43-33). Patrick Kivlehan hit a solo homer in the fourth inning.
Brad Mills took the loss for Tacoma, going four innings and allowing seven runs and nine hits.
